Festive Season

When you live in UAE, Sunday is the start of workdays. But last night I felt weekend. We had an incredible experience of Halloween and at the same time Diwali Festival. These are annual celebration  of different countries. Of course, Halloween is very well known to everyone. Dedicated to remembering the dead. Some people wearing different character of fantasies, scary outfit, trick or treat and include Halloween party.2016-10-31_12-26-531We watched latest Halloween special. A scary story in the Philippines. – “Kababalaghan.” Hosted by Mr. Noli De Castro.

While we are watching, we hear various types of fireworks. Then after the show we looked out the window. And guess what? We saw different beautiful types of  fireworks. Hazelle told me that was Diwali Festival.

My personally approach on fireworks was nothing. I thought that was preparation for the National day and celebration for Halloween. But when we went out to eat, we face different Hindu people celebrate the festival in the big parking lot.

I really don’t have any idea what Diwali means. This is my  first time to witness the festival of Hindu. It was a great experience to see all of them wearing their traditional dress for the festive.

Based on my research “Diwali is one of the biggest festival of Hindus, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness in India. The festival is celebrated for five continuous days, where the third days is celebrated as the main Diwali festival or ‘Festival of lights’.- http://www.diwalifestival.org

As well as houses being decorated with candles and colourful lights, those who are marking the celebrations share gifts and recite prayers in the name of happy, healthy futures.- www.mirror.co.uk/10

Watch below our experience of Diwali Festival.

This is one of my memorable experiences staying in foreign land. I was mesmerized by the different cultures we have in this world. I am grateful because I have witnessed such events in my life.
